The Prophet ﷺ once said about Sūrat al-Mulk وددت أنها في قلب كل مؤمن “I wish it were in the heart of every believer.” He would not sleep without reciting Sūrat al-Mulk, and so we have resolved to recite Sūrat al-Mulk each night before surrendering to sleep—if but to fulfill his wish ﷺ.
The Prophet ﷺ once said من أحيى سنتي فقد أحبني “Whoever revives my sunnah loves me”; and he once said من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله “Whoever bids to a good thing shall have the reward of anyone who thereafter engages”; and he once said من قرأ حرفا من كتاب الله فله به حسنة والحسنة بعشر أَمْثَالِهَا “For every single letter one recites of the Book of Allah, he shall receive one divine grace, multiplied tenfold.”

At the dawn of revelation, the Prophet ﷺ was commanded وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ “And as for the blessing of thy Lord, proclaim it!” (al-Ḍuḥā 93:11). And toward the eve of his passing, he instructed those present to inform those absent.
